Nectr is a visual workspace for notes, canvases, documents, and published pages. This policy explains what information Nectr collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: your workspace is yours, we collect only what the product needs to work, and we never sell your data.
Information you give us
Account details. When you create an account or sign in with Google, Discord, or X, we receive your email address and, from social providers, your name and avatar. Passwords for email sign-in are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us.
Profile. A display name, profile photo, and bio if you choose to add them.
Your content. The pages, canvases, drawings, uploads, and comments you create. If you use Nectr without an account, this content lives only in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
How your content is stored
Local first. Signed out, everything stays in your browser. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Cloud sync. Signed in, your pages sync to our database (hosted on Supabase) so you can access them across devices. Deleted pages are kept for 30 days for recovery, then purged.
Published pages. If you publish a page as a website, that page becomes publicly accessible at its link. Don't publish anything you want to keep private.
Shared pages. Pages you share are accessible to the people you invite, or to anyone who has the share link, at the role you chose (view, comment, or edit).
AI features
When you use Nectr's AI (slash commands, the Nectr builder, or the Nectr chat), your prompt and relevant page content are sent to our AI service to generate the response. This content is used to answer your request, not to train models on our side.
If you connect your own AI key, requests go directly from your browser to that provider under your agreement with them. Your key is stored only in your browser's local storage — it is never sent to Nectr's servers.
Payments
Paid plans and credits are processed by Whop, our payment provider. Nectr never sees or stores your card details. Whop shares with us the email address and plan associated with a purchase so we can activate it.
Cookies and local storage
Nectr uses browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your workspace, appearance settings, and preferences. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information or your content.
We don't show ads.
We don't read your workspace except where needed to operate the service, comply with law, or investigate abuse.
Your choices
Delete pages, folders, or entire workspaces at any time from within Nectr. "Recently deleted" holds pages for 30 days before permanent removal.
Unpublish a published page to take it offline.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the address below.
Children
Nectr is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and note the change inside Nectr. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
